People who grew up in northern Sudan during the civil war say they are discriminated against, because they do not speak English. And other returnees say they do not have the connections that are often critical to securing decent jobs.

Public service commission officials deny there is any discrimination going on but acknowledge that there are problems in the public service. Charlton Doki reports from Juba:
