Equatoria Conference 2011: A call for more power sharing

The conference\'s focus was on the ongoing constitution review process, governance and power sharing, ahead of the region\'s independence due on 9 July.

Addressing hundreds of participants from Eastern, Western and Central Equatoria, Governor Clement Wani Konga said the 2011 Equatoria Conference discusses issues of governance, security and development.

Telar Deng Ding, legal affairs presidential advisor and Salva Kiir’s representative, told the gathering that the Equatoria Conference has a chance to make a difference in the lives of the people of Southern Sudan.
