EU observers confirm peaceful and credible voting process
The Chief Observer of the European Union, Ms. Veronique De Keyser affirms that the referendum voting process in Sudan was peaceful, credible and with an overwhelming turnout in the South.

According to Ms. De Keyser there were however isolated incidents of violence and intimidation. She further raised the issue of one-sided campaigning in the South and in the North, respectively for secession and unity, as Marvis Birungi reports from Juba:
