The Wau community called on the central government in Juba to urgently intervene, restoring peace and good relations between the people and the state government. On November 9, Western Bahr el-Ghazal State Governor Rizik Zacharia Hassan, defended himself against several accusations, including stealing private land in Wau town, saying that he acted within the law.
