Southern rebel leader killed after signing peace deal

Only days after southern rebel leader Gatluak Gai reached a peace agreement with the South Sudanese government in Unity State, he was shot dead on Saturday.

Rebels say he was lured to his death by the Sudan People\'s Liberation Army (SPLA), but Reuters news agency quotes SPLA spokesman  Philip Aguer as saying that Gai was killed by his own deputy, along with three others.
