Leaders stall progress on Abyei
The Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and Southern Sudan President Salva Kiir have failed to agree on a resolution for the crisis in Abyei.

GoS President Al-Bashir and GoSS President Kiir at Juba Airport earlier this year.The two leaders were invited for talks by the African Union Implementation Panel on Sudan after the seizure of Abyei by the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) last month.
Southern Sudan’s Minister in the Office of the President, Cirino Hiteng, announced the failure of the talks on Tuesday upon President Kiir's return from Addis Ababa.
