By Bonifacio Taban Kuich 9th April 2010 (Bentiu) The incumbent vice president of the republic and the president of the semi-autonomous government of Southern Sudan Salvatore Kiir Mayardit arrive Unity State capital Bentiu.the current Sudan People Liberation Movement (SPLM) presidential candidate of the government of Southern Sudan (GOSS) has accompanied by his deputy Dr.Riek Machar and Dr.Samson Kwaje the minister of Agriculture and forestry in the GOSS. Speaking during the opening secession Dr. Machar Teny said SPLM has fought for twenty-one years for the right of Southern Sudanese people.Dr.Riek Machar further call peaceful co-existent in all various where voting process take place.
President Kiir address the rallies in Bentiu Stadium, when he addressed the public about the election code of conduct during election to be the most priority .Kiir said despite the fact that his election campaigns interruption last week from other parties still very happy with Unity State citizen of receiving him warmly.Kiir urged the SPLM/A supporters to eliminate harassments from other parties even though they put more pressure on you.
In the reception were about three thousand people from Unity State, Many people hold SPLM flag with a say SPLM Oyee!!! SPLM Oyee!!! SPLM Oyee!!!. While speaking in the rallies President Kiir said that he will increased 5% percentages to 25% to make 30% for the women representing them in the government of Southern Sudan. Kiir confirms that he would make sure if pass in the next two day election process he will make women in the highest senior post in the government.
President Kiir Mayardit aware public that this time we SPLM must come up to help those who loosed their husband and wife in the movement struggle should be the most agendas when starting the new government. Seeing also the positive struggle done by his deputy Dr.Riek Machar who has been putting more implementation on the Comprehensive peace agreement remaining issues to re-negotiated with National Congress Party (NCP) .He also promise to the rallies that Dr.Riek Machar Teny will be next vice president of the government of Southern Sudan when re-elected as the president of the South Sudan. Salva Kiir caution the SPLM supporters in Bentiu Stadium to vote for SPLM candidates in the various States in the Southern Sudan exclusion of the northern States in which he will tell why, unless return back to Juba.
President Salva Kiir said that the withdrawal of Yaser Arman in the presidential race of the republic by Sudan People Liberation Movement and political Bureau was because Darfur conflicts, doubt in fairness of election and doubtful in National Election Commission, accusing the Sudanese government of expelling international observers from Darfur. Kiir also has seen, even though we pass the presidential race we doubtful Country will hold stability both Northern and the Southern Sudan. Kiir frankly said to the publics that to keep comprehensive peace agreement signatories and referendum of Southern Sudan in the 2011, we therefore withdraw our candidate Yaser Arman to compete with the National Congress Party candidate in the presidential race so as to keep our promise not to break this country to war again., neither our partner NCP or SPLM.
