‘We were supposed to be happy’
South Sudanese musicians living in Kampala call for an end of the violence in their home country.

During the past years, some South Sudanese musicians in Uganda, used songs to express the joy of South Sudan’s peace. Today, they are in and out of Kampala’s music studios trying to record songs that call for the end of the current crisis.
Marvis Birungi caught up with some of the South Sudanese musicians in Kampala and filed this report:
