South Sudan’s Vice President James Wani Igga says he is not willing to give up his seat to former Vice President Riek Machar as part of a possible power-sharing arrangement.

Igga spoke at an extraordinary meeting of the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) party in Juba on Thursday, February 6.

Meanwhile, President Salva Kiir announced at the meeting that he would not release the remaining four political prisoners until they have gone through the legal process.
