Mourning Duku Male Daniel Eugenio

Daniel died of a hepatitis infection on Friday morning, April 7.

“I am shocked to learn of the sudden death of our colleague Daniel Male. You have gone too soon […]. We will miss your love, care and hard work amidst difficult times and especially at a time this country needs youth like you,” writes The Niles contributor Waakhe Simon Wudu.

The 34-year-old journalist worked for numerous media houses like The Junubi newspaper and website, Bakhita Radio as reporter and web editor and as contributor for MiCT The Niles project.

His reports covered various topics ranging from politics and economics to religion, women empowerment and Peace. Daniel said about himself he “particularly likes reporting on life in rural South Sudan”.

The MiCT The Niles team extends sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. We shall always honour Daniel’s memory.
