“The country is unpredictable. The leaders change their minds like chameleons. They managed to go to war soon after the country had gained independence, so there is no doubt that they will fight again at any time. I cannot put my life in the hands of such leaders.

If you return and rebuild your life, you cannot be sure whether the property you work hard for will stay intact or if it will be destroyed in another war.

With the way this country is running its bloody politics, I guess only my children will return to South Sudan when they grow up.

As for me, only my corpse shall be returned to South Sudan.”
