Eastern Equatoria builds hydropower dam

South Sudan’s National Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning signed the loan agreement with China’s Exim Bank on Tuesday, July 2.

The dam is supposed to provide enough power for two of the state’s counties. The construction of the dam, a 14-month project, begins this week.
