Rubkotna’s port lies on the northern bank of the Bhar el-Ghazal RiverThe boat operators also complain that officials have introduced numerous docking sites where they are being charged high taxes.
Traders say the fees were increased after Sudan closed the highway linking it to South Sudan through Southern Kordofan, leaving the Bahr el-Ghazal the main source of transport.
