Osman Shinger

Osman, journalist and author, studied media at Omdurman Islamic University and graduated in the early 1990s. He is one of the most prominent journalists in the cultural field and was supervisor of 'Al-Ayyam' newspaper cultural file for a long time.He also worked for several newspapers and was chief editor of three newspapers. He published a collection of short stories and he is now the deputy secretary-general of the Sudanese Writers Union and an online editor at ‘Al-Shoroog’ television station in Khartoum. He joined ‘The Niles’ project since its inception in 2009, and contributed a number of reports on important political cultural and social issues.
