Hassan Faroog

Sudanese journalist Hassan Faroog Mohammed Sir Al-Khatm holds a degree in Media and Public Relations from the University of Sudan. Hassan held a number of positions during his journalistic career. He was an editor in the sports section of Al-Kaptan and Al-Sahafa newspapers. Hassan was as well the head of the sports division at Al-Ahdath daily newspaper. Hassan organised the idea of the 'Golden Ball' in Sudanese sports newspapers and initiated the idea of producing a documentary about the late player Wali al-Din Muhammad Abdullah. Hassan has been invited as a sport news expert on many occasions and has participated in workshops in both public and private television channels and radios. He covered major sporting events such as the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana, and the 2006 African Cup of Nations in Egypt. Hassan joined The Niles project in 2009. He says that his goal of working in any organisation is “to enhance his skills and talents through working with his fellow colleagues.”
