Gafar Khidir is a journalist from Gedaref, where he grew up, lived and studied. Gafar holds a Bachelor in Economics and Political Science from the University of Khartoum and obtained a Higher Diploma in Educational Sciences from the University of Gedaref. He is now working on a research Master in Education with the University of Khartoum. In addition to his work in journalism, Gafar teaches primary and secondary school students. Gafar worked as a correspondent for Ajrass Al-Hurriyah and Al-Akhbar from Gedaref. He has attended a number of training courses in media and non-media related topics both inside and outside Sudan, and he is particularly keen on corruption and human rights issues, especially in his native city.
