Anthony Wani

Anthony works as freelance State Correspondent in Western Bahr el-Ghazal State. He joined the mict Sudan/South Sudan project team in April 2012 and before Anthony worked for the South Sudan Business Week, the Sudan Tribune and the New Times. Having the desire to inform the world about South Sudanese affairs, Anthony also blogged for Channel 16 (www.ch16.org), a humanitarian affairs news agency, launched in 2010 by independent bloggers and humanitarian agencies like Oxfam. Anthony blogs about challenges the new nation is facing, mainly on topics such as gender, health care and the economy. He took part in several short-term courses, which have widened his understanding of countries coming out of conflict. Anthony believes that “where there is a problem, their is a solution” and this solution can only be found as “a result of proper information”.
