South Sudan presents new registration procedures for NGOs

South Sudan’s government on May 13, 2016 presented the registration procedures for Non Governmental Organisations, part of a new and widely criticised NGO bill.

The new law governing national and international Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in South Sudan was signed into law by President Salva Kiir Mayardit in February 2016.

The South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SSRRC) on May 13, 2016 presented copies of the procedures required for the renewal of NGO registration certificates.
