Innocent Otira

Innocent likes engaging in all sorts of discussions involving Sudanese and South Sudanese cultures, politics and life in general. He draws his ideas from his wide range of experience gained while living in Juba during the war, as a refugee in Kenya (Nairobi), and finally as a student in Canada. Innocent sees himself as a liberal non-conformist, part idealist, part optimist and part realist. He says that he could be described as someone who has been running away from the 'matrix', or someone who has discarded the 'blue pill', for the 'red one'. As such, he strives to look at the world differently and through a different set of lenses. But more importantly he hopes the ideas he expresses in his writings, may uplift people, or change the way they think.
